Craft and Art Show
On November 19th, I will be sharing my jewelry with the public again at the Hallmark Hospice Health Show in Wakefield, MA. at the American Hall from 10 to 4. It will be a big show and I'm getting excited. I hope to sell some sparkly necklaces and holiday themed earrings. I have a big table, and my whole display is getting better as I get more experienced. Yesterday I bought a big framed mirror, because people who buy things really want to see themselves in it. I should have realized that from going to department stores all my life...but somehow, have a handy mirror didn't occur to me until someone at my first show asked if I had one.
My jewelry and bead-making friends on Ebay have been talking about slow sales. Maybe it is the recent tragedies of hurricanes, floods and tornadoes that have people thinking about giving their money away to the Red Cross, but I just think that people are busy and haven't started their holiday shopping yet.
For me, selling on Ebay is like another hobby. I like meeting the people from all over the country who buy my jewelry, and I like the whole process of taking pictures, editing, writing and posting descriptions, and then watching the bids come in. Everything you list isn't going to sell the first time, and that is because it is a free country and we all have very different tastes. Some of my jewelry is a little flashy for some people. But I know it is well made and pretty and I'm still having a tremendous amount of fun making it, and THAT is what matters!
